Hi-Z's Thermal Sprayer

Thermal Spraying

Hi-Z operates a spray booth, where two electrically charged wires with opposing polarity, are fed through Arc spray gun equipment. At the nozzle tips, where the wires meet, the heat generated creates an arc, and melts the wire to a liquid. The molten material is then sprayed onto the target surface which rapidly creates a coating layer. The process is cooled by fans above and a water curtain in the foreground.

Hi-Z has been thermally spraying (metallized) its Thermoelectric Power Modules for > 20 years. With a lab dedicated to this process, Hi-Z can offer thermal spraying services for your R & D project and/or for a small production run. Hi-Z is licensed to spray Aluminum, Molybdenum, Zinc and any other non-toxic coating.
